Through the 90's Georgetown's population has declined by about 3%.
Early records have Georgetown settled by Benjamin and Isaac Rumsey, one of whom lived in a house that stood in the old orchard east of Aaron Osborne's, and the other near the site of the present homestead of Mr. S. M. Main (On Main Street).
